A still photo from the latest movie. Snogging abounds! I swear,I think Ginny has a touch of Veela in her, don't you?

But not all of us are so fortunate as to know a Veela!

According to an MTV blog report, Emma Thompson will not reprise the role of Professor Trelawney in the two-part Potter finale. Forced to choose between Deathly Hallows and the sequel to Nanny McPhee, Thompson said the choice was obvious.
"The Harry Potters are great big franchises that are something I’m not emotionally attached to or necessarily particularly creatively attached to. That’s more like doing a turn, whereas the Nanny McPhees are something I’ve written. The art is in those films, they’re very handmade, they’re something that’s very close to me. Those are the ones I really care about."

The author introduces her favourite scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in this extract from The Birthday Book, a treasury of children's stories and poemsJK Rowling guardian.co.uk, Thursday November 13 2008 11.19 GMT Article history Harry Potter in the Dark Forest. I admit that, at first glance, the extract I've chosen for The Birthday Book might not seem particularly celebratory, given that it has for its subject my hero walking to what he believes will be certain death. But when Harry takes his last, long walk into the heart of the Dark Forest, he is choosing to accept a burden that fell on him when still a tiny child, in spite of the fact that he never sought the role for which he has been cast, never wanted the scar with which he has been marked. As his mentor, Albus Dumbledore, has tried to make clear to Harry, he could have refused to follow the path marked out for him. In spite of the weight of opinion and expectation that singles him out as the "Chosen One", it is Harry's own will that takes him into the Forest to meet Voldemort, prepared to suffer the fate that he escaped sixteen years before.
The destinies of wizards and princes might seem more certain than those carved out for the rest of us, yet we all have to choose the manner in which we meet life: whether to live up (or down) to the expectations placed upon us; whether to act selfishly, or for the common good; whether to steer the course of our lives ourselves, or to allow ourselves to be buffeted around by chance and circumstance. Birthdays are often moments for reflection, moments when we pause, look around, and take stock of where we are; children gleefully contemplate how far they have come, whereas adults look forwards into the trees, wondering how much further they have to go. This extract from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is my favourite part of the seventh book; it might even be my favourite part of the entire series, and in it, Harry demonstrates his truly heroic nature, because he overcomes his own terror to protect the people he loves from death, and the whole of his society from tyranny.

I know I'm not Plinker, posting news but...
Tom Felton was on tonight's episode of Jack Osborne: Celebrity Adrenaline Junkie on ITV2, along with a couple of other big names of British pop culture. The team were in South Africa and participated in bungee jumping, stunt gliding, shark cage diving and skydiving.
I've just finished watching, it was pretty awesome. There's a video of the news slot here, and I'm sure there are pictures and videos on youtube. Be careful of videos though, he has the typical british foul mouth (not guilty... ).
Loopy, out.

Hello!
And now WC's latest Updates 2 New features to customize you're accounts here on wc even more
1. Now you can select a specific color for your new topic titles 2. Set up a specific format for you're text here on the site. Theres tons of colors and font effects for you to choose from. As you can see i already started using them so all of you can see these 2 new additions live and in action. Remember to add the # symbol if you're going to use a hex code. I will add a color selector to aid in choosing a color hex code.
Also
I'm working on some security issues with Dawn and Plinker. WC has been bombarded with tons of spam registrations recently. I had to take action an implement ways for this to stop.
Theres also some issues with some members being accidentally banned. I must apologize for this i am very sorry because the people involved are very loved here on the site and they din't deserve to be banned and this was caused by an error from my part . I'm working on fixing this and again i apologize for this error. We did not mean to ban any of you and we hope that non of you are not offended by this. I have a strong idea of whats creating this error and im waiting for the banned members to test out my theory.
You need to delete youre cookies go to mycomputer-control panel-internet options and delete them this should allow you to return to WC and log in.
Stay tuned more cool stuff are being worked on by myself and my spacial helpers!
love and gratitude for all you're amazing support Sol

Hi everyone i'm very happy with how much WC has grown in numbers i hope this community keeps getting bigger and bigger and i promise to keep out dishing new features and updates.
Now i know this is very very VERY off topic and not HP related but my little brother Anthony and i have been playing one of these online rpg games called Maple story and i saw that seven eleven has a contest with certain codes that permit players gain more EXP in game. And Anthony went nuts about it but there are no 7/11's in Puerto Rico. An i would love to surprise him, so0o0ooo.... if anyone has access to them and can buy a slurpee in name of Sol and Anthony and send me the code then it would be greatly appreciated and im willing to put Galleons or house points for it. Thanks and sorry for the off topic non HP request. It's a good thing i'm the admin lol.... muahahaha *aHem...*
See ya around!

USA Today Features "Harry, A History" by Melissa Anelli
Harry, A History, the new book about the Harry Potter phenomenon written by TLC webmistress Melissa Anelli, has officially been released. As such, the USA Today newspaper takes a closer look at the book, with an article that also contains new comments from Melissa who says that the world of Harry Potter "is so pleasant to spend time in," and the world of the online fandom "is still a joy every day. There are still people doing fan art, discussing the books."
With editor Jennifer Heddle saying "it will appeal to both hard-core fans and casual readers," the article notes that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling did write the foreward to Harry, A History, as "Rowling reveals it wasn't until 2002 — five years after her first Harry book — that she went online and looked at the vast Potter Web world. "The tale of the online fandom is every bit as extraordinary as Harry's own," she writes, "and it has left me with a feeling of awe and gratitude."
As the series is now complete, there are some fans still holding out hope for more from the beloved magical world of Harry Potter, and Melissa weighs in on the matter: "I do think there is a chance," she says. "If she returns to it, the book will be about Albus Severus Potter (son of Harry and Ginny Potter). The eighth book they said would never happen!"
You can find out more about Harry, A History via the book's website, or discuss your thoughts and reactions to the book, here in our forums. Harry, A History is available now.
